3. EXECUTION
3.1 Installation
1- Except if otherwise indicated, install elements in conformity to the
requirements of the National Plumbing Code - Canada.
2- Install the underground piping embedded in clean, washed sand 150mm in
thickness, shaping with the fittings and female end caps forms. Respect the
slope, the line and the indicated levels. Fill up with a clean sand coating of
150 mm in thickness.
3- Install the above ground piping parallel to the walls and ceilings in order
to reduce as less as possible the praticle volume of the room. Respect the
indicated slope.
4- Widen the piping vents to a minimum 100mm in diameter on roof top.
3.2 Venting
1- Foresee a complete vented venting system on the sewage drainage system. The
horizontal piping on the vents must have a slope of at least 1 mm per meter
towards the drains.
2- Prolong the vents without size reduction for at least 600 mm above the
rooftop and enlarge the diameter at that point. Make the diameter changes
according to long tapered fittings.
3.3 Waterproof roof joints
1- In the case of piping crossing through the rooftop, achieve a watertight
joint with copper foil 3kg by 1 m3 . The sheet must cover at least 500 mm of
the rooftop on each side of the piping and prolong itself to the shoulder of
the pipe and must curve into the pipe. Coordinate with the roofing trade for
perfect waterproofed joints. The waterproof joints must conform to the ACNOR
LRP-3 standard.
